Depends on HOW they are wearing.
If they wear on the center of the tire, then the air pressure is too high in the tires, if they wear on the outside edges, then the tire pressure is too low.
If they are wearing on the inside or outside edge only, then the alignment is out.
If they are wearing evenly, but too fast, then they are cheap tires.......

That depends on the type of wear.
Excessive wear on the inside or outside edge only is an indication of improper wheel alignment.
Excessive wear on both inner and outer edges indicates improper tire inflation - too low. Excessive wear in the center indicates the tires are over-inflated.
Irregular (bumpy) wear, called heal and toe wear is usually do to not rotating the tires regularly. A more severe version of this, often called cupping can be caused by severe wheel alignment problems or a failed shock or strut.
I could go on and on...

If you mean your tires are wearing unevenly then you need to make sure they are inflated to the correct pressure and get the tracking sorted at a tire center..

balance, alignment, air pressure.. and your everyday driving style.. obviously if your making alot of short quick stops and speeding from the stop in a hurry your using more of the traction to grip the road to build speed..
give yourself more room when breaking try slowly stopping.. and dont go 0-35 in 2 second.. youll get better gas mileage too..

if you have power steering there is often a problem with turning the wheel while the car is stationary this causes front wheels to grind against ground
also drifting doesnt help much : P

you have a major component that is in need of urgent replacement, it is vital that the old one is removed quickly and placed in the wheelie bin.
It is easily located, when you are in the car it will be clamped to the steering wheel at one or maybe two points.
It is imperative that this defective component is destroyed as soon as possible
