I think Avery will get his butt kicked every day with that name. It will take poor Savannah a year to learn how to spell that long name. Why don't you just stick a couple of hyphens in there like Sa'va'nah or change Avery to Ayvarey.
Do your kid a favor, stick with the Jane and the James.

Avery James is cool. My name is Rhett James. I don't particularly care for Savannah Jane, but I do like Savannah. Perhaps you could use Savannah Lynn or Lee. Anyway, I hope this helps and good luck! Wish you the best Pal and congrads!

I quite like Avery James for a boy. Such a handsome, refreshing option! :) The repeated A sounds are slightly repetitive, but I think it works well anyway.
Savannah is not my style at all. Just far too overused, trendy and risque (sounds like a porn name to me!). Sorry. :( I love the middle name Jane though. Despite past usage -- and some comments I'm sure you've gotten or will get -- it's actually quite unusual currently. Barely in the top 500.
Good luck finding names you both love, by the way. ;)

Savannah Jane sounds like a wildwest show and Avery James reminds me of an old black man...not to be mean but that's just my opinion.

I like Sara Jane. Sara is an old name, and has withstood the tests of time - it has persevered and is still a favorite today.
Go with Sara Jane for a girl

I like the boy's name, but I'm not so sure about the girl's name.
Maybe you can come to a compromise:
You get to give the boy his first name. She picks middle name.
She gets to give the girl her first name. You pick middle name.
You can come up with a list of names that you both absolutely DO NOT want, and then everything else would be fair game. :)
I think Savannah is nice, but I also like Marceline, Colette, Zoe, Olivia, Emma... :)

While I do know a little boy named Avery, it's increasingly used for girls. Last year, it was the 52nd most popular name for baby girls born in the US, and its been in the Top 100 for a few years. (For boy babies, it remains in the 200s - not unheard of, but not common, either.)
I love the name, but its popularity in the pink gives me pause.
As for Savannah, I'm sorry - I find it stripper-ish. I do like a lot of place names for little girls, but this isn't one of them. How about India or Avalon, Caledonia or Havana?
Best wishes.
