if you are on a desk top, press alt and 3 at the same time. (the #3 on the numbers pad on the right side of your keyboard) each number will make something.
what everyone else said is for a laptop and you won't see the heart after you type it, but it will be a heart when you press submit.

Write this down. Start button> all programs> accessories> system tools> character map. When you find the symbol you are looking for simply copy it then paste it in your profile name. Click edit profile and paste it next to your name and save changes.

you go to word and then you make the heart or music thig er w/e and then you copy and paste it into you own custom name when you edit ur profile
