I wish that Osha had been early enough to save my father's life. He missed it by about three weeks I think!

Seriously, Osha has made some very positive contributions, but they take it too far. They don't believe that anyone has a brain of their own anymore. I believe that the average person is smart enough to figure out right from wrong and make decisions based upon their beliefs.

OSHA has protected us, however, from putting our lives in harms way for the sake of protecting our paycheck!

They make the workplace safe. Even if a company is never checked by OSHA, the company knows the OSHA rules, and could be fined. All accidents must be reported. A safe workplace means all average Americans can have a long and save work experience. If you lost your arm at age 22, how would you work? OSHA is looking out the the little guy.

Industrial disease can and does still happen, but for the most part, I think OSHA has done a pretty good job keeping companies in line where the safety of their employees are concerned.

Before OSHA, it was not only possible, but common to expose workers to poisonous chemicals, unsafe working conditions, and provide them no protection whatsoever. The only people who think OSHA is a bad idea, are unscrupulous employers who do not care if their workers suffer injury, illness, or death while on the job.

These people are slime, and should be rounded up and subjected to their own chemical poisins.

I actually have had use for OSHA in the past (1X personally and experiences from others) and they were a help. I have nothing negative to say about them.
