Yes, I started a tradition of having friends over for Thanksgiving and then having them help me put my Xmas decorations up. This is such a fun way to share the holidays with those who have no one to be with, and it keeps building memories for me. My home is very lively now with the lovely decorations and the feeling of joy keeps me happy. Even though it is in sunny California, I can feel the winter feeling of the Christmas holidays since the tree is up. And when I want music, I can turn on my various decorations that play Xmas carols. I love that it is Jesus birthday, and I am able to put out all of my navity scenes collected from various travels around Europe.

I was going to wait a couple weeks but then my kids went over to my aunt's house and she has her tree up so the kids came home complaining that they wanted a tree up and it's really distracting to have two 5 year old, a 3 year old and 22 month old whining about a tree everyday so I had my husband go and get one last night.

Not yet. DO not like to put up any Christmas decorations until mid-December otherwise they seem to take away the excitement of Christmas approaching. Once they go up I can really get into the swing of things. Happy Christmas.

No, it's hiding in the attic. Being pregnant I don't want to climb the steep steps to get it out. I am bugging the hubby, but he thinks that it's too early. So, the moral of the story is.... I guess that I have to wait until he feels like going u in the attic before I can put up my holiday decorations! Boo!
