I'm thinking of buying a Ps2 ,because it's the only game system I can afford right now. I heard final fantasy is a really awesome game. All of my gamer friends said final fatasy 7 is the best over all. Only problem is it's a ps1 game not ps2 *sigh*. Only one of my friends said that it dosen't matter ,because she's still able to play it on her ps2. Is that posible? Can you play final fatasy 7 for Ps1 on a Ps2? And if so do I need a memory card for it? Would it work with a ps2 Console Slim?

Yes, you can play all PS1 games on a PS2. Just make sure you have a PS1 memory card so you can save your progress.

You should be able to play FF7 with your slim PS2 (and most PS1 games for that matter) but you will need a PS1 memory card to save your games. The FF series are great for their stories and how their characters interact with eath other. Although FF7 was a great game, I strongly recommend that you check out some videos on youtube about it to see if it's your type of game because I know for a fact that some people don't like the Role Playing Games (RPG) genre because of the number of hours you need to invest in it. If after watching the videos you still want to buy it, then chances are you will really enjoy it.

You can play PS 1 games on PS2. I DONOT think you can play ps 1 or 2 on PS3. That has been one of the downfalls of the PS3. That and its *** expensive to purchase. As far as the best overall game, I would take a look at Xenogears or the Suikoden series games assuming you like rpg's. You can't go wrong with FF7 though.

Yup, all Playstation games are compatible with a Ps2 just like all Playstation and Ps2 games are compatible with a Ps3.
