The first person that answered is very wrong. You can get your period regularly every month and not be ovulating. The same thing happened to me, I was trying for a year and finally went to see my dr. My progesterone level was low (which means not ovulating). There is absolutly no way of getting pregnant if your not ovulating, because that means your not releasing an egg, and no egg means no baby. It is a very fixable condition though. If you dr thinks this and didnt recommend a treatment, I would speak with him again, or get a second opinion. As soon as my dr found out I wasn't ovulating, he prescribed clomid. It has a very good success rate and has been used for over 30 years now. Relativly cheap in cost too. With out insurance I paid $27 for the 5 pills, but it's also on walmarts discounted drug list and you can get it there for $9. Definatly speak with your dr about fertility medications that induce ovulation. Best of luck and baby dust to you. If you have any more questions feel free to email me!

possible be abnormal from coming off the dep., your well being care expert is easily maximum appropriate. you will have a era, flow 6 weeks with out one, then get one, and get yet another one 3 weeks later, then a month later (as an occasion). each lady reacts in any different case to coming off depo, despite the fact that it surely would desire to take quite a few months for issues to come back to familiar. you're unlikely to have the means to foretell once you will ovulate in this time. a woman ovulates 14 days earlier her next era comes, so which you will not comprehend while that's occurring for helpful once you're abnormal. in case you do not prefer to get pregnant, anticipate you're able to desire to constantly be ovulating and use risk-free practices.

There are drugs the doctor can give you to make you ovulate. Clomid is one such drug. It worked for a few of my friends. Do not stress. Ask the doctor about the next step. And yes, you can still get a period w/o ovulating. It is called an anovulatory cycle. The blood at the time of menstruation
is known as "estrogen breakthrough bleeding". Best of luck!

Yep, there are ways for you to get pregnant. I don't ovulate at all naturally because I have PCOS, but I did by using fertility drugs. It just means that you may need the help to jump start your body to make eggs, provided there are some to be made. Ask your doctor what the next steps are for you and follow his/her advice to the T. I did and now I'm 7 weeks pregnant.

Baby dust to you!

well isnt it if you get a period, you ovulate, if you are not getting a period you are not ovulating....
if you are not getting a period, then its safe to say you are probebly not ovulating, but i think if you are getting regular periods, you are still ovulating. maybe talk with another doctor for further fertility testing

EDIT: found some more info:
If ovulation does not occur, no egg is released, and hence technically there should be no bleeding at all. This is known as anovulation. In women where ovulation fails to occur because of an anovulatory disorder, bleeding can occur nevertheless. This is known as anovulatory bleeding and is not a normal menstrual period.

I suggest going to a fertility clinic and finding out what's going on.

Also, just to respond to another response, having your period does not mean you're also ovulating. I have PCOS and do not ovulate regularly, though I have my period often. Sometimes the body goes through the motions without having a real cause.

Didn't your doctor tell you what the plan would be? There are meds, like Clomid, that you can be put on. First they have to be sure that you aren't ovulating. They can monitor you by ultrasound and check progesterone levels to see if you are ovulating.
