Is it true that in some tropical countries, 30 degrees is considered normal room temperature?

When it hits 25 in my place, I can't sleep at night. I like it around 21.0, like it is right now.

That's right. Those are generally hot, dry climates. The thing that makes it uncomfortable for us temperate types is the humidity. A humid 26 degrees actually feels hotter than a dry 30 degrees, as when it's humid you can't sweat to cool you down.
