butterfly knife kid.. you only carry a switchblade if your an extra in a James Dean movie, in which case you'd be wearing a leather vest and have a pack of smokes rolled up into your sleeve... you can do some crazy jet li kind of sht with a butterfly knife, and still jig someone up real good

Switchblade. Bought it in Mexico many years ago. Although I'm pretty good with the Butterfly too it takes too long to open (even though I am proficient), learned that in the PI.

What is the point of carrying such a weapon if you have no intention of using it? A pocket knife will work for any legal usage.

I prefer fixed blades for work, but given the choices I would go for the switch blade. Even good switch blades wear out and have been known to break.
