Afterall the great men of the bible had multiple wives, polygamy was obviously a God-sanctioned thing, the BIBLE has it. Mainstream Mormons don't even practice Polygamy anymore so what gives?

Could it be that Christian Conservatives don't like Mormonism because it's congregation is growing at a faster rate.......Afterall Religion is a business. God is a commodity these days.

But they are not freaked out about Larry Craig and Senator Foley being closet homosexuals.

They are not freaked out about David Viter cheating on his wife with prostitutes.

They are not freaked out about George W. Bush lying about WMDs in Iraq.

They are not freaked out by George W. Bush's slow response to Katrina.

They are not freaked out by the level of racism in America.

Christian Conservatives are not part of the solution, instead they are part of the problem, and they are nothing but hypocrites.

Christians are freaked out because Mormons claim to believe in Jesus but their believe in Jesus is a radical departure from what all the other Christians believe. For Example:

- That God has not always been the Supreme Being of the universe, but attained that status through righteous living and persistent effort.

They believe God the Father has a “body of flesh and bones as tangible as man’s.

Adam actually was God and the father of Jesus Christ.

Mormon leaders have taught that Jesus’ incarnation was the result of a physical relationship between God the Father and Mary.

They believe Jesus is a God, but that any human can also become a god.

It's ludicrous! But I do think it's the polygamy aspect of Mormonism. And yes, they have forgotten about multiple wives in the Old Testament. However, some will tell you that it's because they don't think there was a revelation from God to Joseph Smith. They believe the last revelation from God ended in the New Testament. In other words, they think Smith's book is a crock. Separation of Church and State go right out the window where some people are concerned. Narrow mindedness is the only answer I can think of.

I'm a Christian conservative who most probably will vote for Mitt Romney. And, I'm not LDS. He has the business and leadership credentials to run this nation.

Feeble-minded morons on both sides of the political aisle believe Romney would be a lackey for the leaders of the LDS church. These are the same type of lame brains (and by no means just Christian conservatives) who thought JFK would be under the thumb of the Pope.

All I can say is that if it wasn't for my distant relatives, the Mormons would not be around today.

When the Mormons were making their trek to Utah, the stopped in Southern Colorado and found out they couldn't make it through the snow covered passes in the Rockies and my distant relatives protected them and gave them food and shelter. If you go to the San Luis Valley in Southern Colorado you will find entire towns who are Mormons, the relatives of those who decided to stay there.

Oh...well they believe that Jesus was a prophet. That's where Christians draw the line. And if they've changed that belief, then it's a new one.
I lived in Mesa, AZ for a long time. The city is largely Mormon in population and so is AZ. I can tell you that I couldn't find one Mormon husband who was faithful to his wife. This is the honest truth.
They were always hitting on me or friends of mine, or I heard about women who were having affairs with Mormon men.
So...I don't think anyone has found out about this yet regarding Romney. Whether he has or he hasn't.

I would like to know that, too. Mitt is a good man. He sure makes a great impression on me. And so is his family. I could care less what version of religion he goes by. But since they just love to dwell on it, as a not so religious person myself I totally respect Mitt Romney. Plus he is a very smart man. After all the scandals and negative stuff we hear about other Presidents how can anybody not see the differences here?

I love how people identify themselves as not being Christian Conservatives and then defend themselves from your question.
Christian Cons are freaked about anybody who isn't going to advance their own idiocracy.

Who's "freaking out", can you provide some example?

I'm an agnostic conservative, and his religion doesn't bother me. Mormons are, by and large, patriotic American citizens.

Now, I have attacked Romney myself over his shaky track record on 2nd Amendment issues. Thats a real issue. Him being a Mormon isn't

When he ran for Governor he espoused many values and beliefs that were in sharp contrast to Mormon teaching. As soon as he became Governor, he retracted those values and beliefs, and governed according to Mormon beliefs. His stand on abortion was one example of that.

Romney's first allegiance is to the Mormon Church and to Church authority. NOT to the American people.
