Yesterday I answered a loooong, depressive question by saying "Wow you are sure happy today. Just reading your question depressed me."

This morning I got best answer. She said "Sometimes saying nothing is the best answer."
I smiled.

Every "Best Answer" I receive is a shocker because I remind myself of Forrest Gump. (I should change my name).

What comes to mind is the one for the question, "are you considered a loser?" Yep, best answer there.

The people who ask questions here have so many reasons for asking. Some are curious, some just want conformation for what they already believe, some just want to start a fight, some want to express themselves, some really want help, some just want something to do. I am surprised most of the time. We have to realize that there is a wide range of age, intelligence and culture differences among the people who come to Yahoo Answers. I have learned some things about people from reading the questions and answers. It has been interesting. Sometimes I feel sorry for the people who choose obviously bad answers.

I was shocked at my first Best Answer. For me, they are few and far between. I enjoy hearing from other people by email even when my answer did not get Best but they were interested in what I had to say. There are times though when I should have gone back and deleted my answer for the sheer stupidity of the way I answered. (Hope this isn't one of those times.)

Yes, it wasn't that long ago either. I'm assuming that it was some youngster that came on here with a question ranting about how it makes him angry that old people take so long to cross the street. I figured it was someone just trying to get people stirred up. I gave him a link as my answer. He came back and gave me Best Answer, said "thank you Gladys", and even said he'd try to be more understanding. That was the last thing I was expecting - there's hope after all . . .

Yes it does surprise me, but it makes me feel good and sometimes special, What I like is stars it shows me that my question is worthy of a answer. That's why I keep go back and checking my answers so that I can give everyone a thumbs up. If its a real rude answer I just pass it by.

Yes, especially if I give a funny answer. I just got one from a question that was posted 11 months ago. Some I don't remember answering until I read my answer.

I am surprised quite often when I receive a "Best Answer" especially after it has taken months to receive it. Had one the other day where the question had been posted 8 months ago.

concept i might throw my hat interior the hoop by using saying, the reason they spend plenty on plastic surgical operation is the medical doctors charge way too plenty, and that they does not prefer plastic surgical operation if society wasn't so judgmental on how human beings seem. We as a society have created this project alongside with many others, and once you communicate approximately how plenty you have given and boast approximately it, you have in simple terms have been given your reward as Christianity teaches, so no i does not persist with on your footsteps, it fairly is sin in accordance to the Bible. On a fact experience i'm able to tell if the prosperous or nicely to do helped the undesirable and needy, we would all in simple terms be mediocre, and that's fairly like communism, something i'm to no longer mad approximately, yet wait you probably did no longer say the undesirable might would desire to artwork we would in simple terms supply it to them and help them out. i think of we already try this, its called social information and our taxes hide that value alongside with generating jobs for social workers. So we are already giving to the undesirable, we in simple terms at the instant are not boasting regarding the coolest we are doing. genuine charity comes from the guts and is no longer measured by using the media and what others think of, it is achieved in secret so which you do no longer humiliate the needy or crown the giver.

I got one yesterday after I told a guy who was posting untruths that he needed to do more research. I was shocked because he agreed with me and not with the others who supported him. In your case, maybe she was being sarcastic or trying to make some obscure point. The other day someone connected to me after I came down on her for racist comments. I know she was trying to needle me and I blocked her.

That happens to me every time that I get Best Answer. All the answers I give are honest answers and from the heart. But I am surprised every time I get one.
