In each case, how to I write the differential equation that must be solved to find the transient or natural circuit response?

dI(t)/dt + 6I(t) = 10

d^2I(t)/dt^2 + 5I(t) = 24

I don't understand the question. As you wrote, these are the differential equations.

The only thing missing are the initial conditions. (The first equation needs one initial condition (perhaps I(0) = 2?) and the second needs 2.)

So what do you mean by "how do I write ..."?
