It's possible. If you have your period from cycle day 1 to cycle day 5, have sex on cycle day 6 and ovulate on cycle day 10, for instance. Sperm can live up to 5 days in fertile cervical mucus.

the reason is because sperm can survive up to 5 days in side you, so if you ovulate that close to your last period its possible.... mostly occurs with woman who have shorter cycles since ovulation happens about 2 weeks before a period.

You can conceive at anytime of the month unless you know 100% when you're ovulating.....and most women aren't that sure.
Remember our cycles change from time to time.

Hello,
As far as I know you can conceive at virtually anytime. It is just a question of time in most people's experience. Should you have trouble conceiving, please don't hesitate to see your gynaecologist to check if there are any problems. Thanks to a wonderful doctor I ended up having two children where I had not a hope before his help. Good luck to you.
Cheers
Lisa

You should not be able to normally, since your uterus has just cleaned out all the surface intended for nurturing the egg, but under uncommon circumstances it is reported you can - egg lasting long time, etc.

Yes, you can. You can even get pregnant after having sex right after your period has begun, as sperm can live in the body for up to seven days.
