The baby is my 4 year old sister and she sweats a lot while she is sleeping. It is winter right now and we do not put a blanket on her, just a very thin sheet cause she gets hot really quickly.

Both of my kids sweat while sleeping. My daughter is 5 years and still sweats like crazy while she sleeps. My son is 14 months and sweats excessively when he gets tired and while sleeping.

She's not really a baby at 4 though. How hot is her room? Does it have a hot tank in it as well as a heater? Is there enough ventilation (just a small amount of cool air through may help her. However, if she's not dangerously hot and not restless because of it, then don't worry. Make sure your Mum only uses cotton sheets with her (and cotton clothing next to the skin), not synthetic or too high a percentage of polyester. No duvets, maybe she'll be better with just a sheet, blanket and a comforter to pull over her if she does feel cold. My 9yr old daughter is a hot-bod like your sister, still but she can still feel the cold quite quickly sometimes. Make sure she has access to a water bottle to replace the fluids she's losing at night. Best of luck.

My infant sister always sweats a lot even when the room is very cool and she has a very thin blanket on. Some babies just sweat and there is not much we can do because we used to sweat at their age too.

My daughter always sweated when she slept as a baby and still does, she is 8 now. Just take the blanket off for awhile.

The baby is probably too warm. Also, synthetic fabrics often cause sweating. Try cotton p.j.'s and blankets, and lower the temperature a bit.

They don;t all. Usually it is because it is too hot. I have a 19 month old though that no matter how cool I make it, he has ALWAYS sweat a LOT in his sleep, even if he's just in a diaper.

Your baby shouldn't be sweating, you are making him to warm!
