No. It ruins the leather and tends to unravel the thread.

There are special cleaners on the market for leather shoes. Look into getting some. Also look into getting some water-proofing spray: That will also help keep the dirt from soaking in.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Brush off any dry spots and then use a damp cloth to "spot" clean any spots. I assume you mean suede leather. If the leather is smooth, use petrolium jelly. You can use saddle soap on suede, read the label of the saddle soap and follow them.

that's not a good idea. use some saddle soap to clean the leather.after it dry's use something to seal it ,polish etc.
