The Bush administration's own treasury department stated that if Bush's tax cuts remained permanent that they would only produce 10% of the amount required for the amount of tax lost.

Edward Lazer, chairman of the President's Council of Economic Advisors stated "I certainly would not claim that tax cuts pay for themselves" in testimony he gave last year on the Hill.

So, when are the American people going to challange the failings of the cut taxes election dogma?

Now that's the million dollar question.
Nothing can be more foolish than cutting taxes and not cutting spending. This is what happened during Reagan's term which led to the first Bush's famous statement "Read my lips. No new taxes."

You are correct. Let's start by cutting the bloated, abused welfare system to the bone. Then cut school spending in half. Hell, half the little dummies aren't going to graduate anyway. Medicare? Lose it, the public is tired of paying other people's health bills. Food stamps? Cut it way down. Only give 'em to illegals and career welfare recipients. Listen, man, what exactly would you cut from the budget? What is non-vital? And , most of all, when have you ever heard of any type of govt getting by w less? To these people, a $5 billion increase in budget is a cut, since they demanded $10 billion and didn't get it.

reducing taxes generates extra gross sales -- the Bush tax cuts proved that to be a faux assumption reducing spending generates a much better financial device -- there is fairly no information of that and that's blatantly ridiculous on it is face. the reason some human beings concern reducing taxes and reducing spending won't close the deficits is considering has already been shown to be fake. We examine historic previous. You examine precise wing re-writes of historic previous. there's a distinction you realize!

Because the first time a Republican talks about a program that should be cut, 15 Democrats jump up and whine about how evil Republicans are and how they're out to get old people, children, minorities, women, disabled, mentally ill, gum chewers, blondes, bald guys named Luther, Ford owners, non-Christians, rustlers, cut throats, murderers, bounty hunters, desperados, mugs, pugs, thugs, nitwits, halfwits, dimwits, vipers, snipers, con men, Indian agents, Mexican bandits, muggers, buggerers, bushwhackers, hornswogglers, horse thieves, bull dykes, train robbers, bank robbers, ***-kickers, s**t-kickers and Methodists.

It's the plan. They want to, in their own words, "Starve the Beast," which is the US government and it's ability to function. They then want to sell our freedom to Multi-National corporations who often now already work well above the law. Not all Republicans, but definitely the Neocons in there now. Real Republicans, like my own Senator Arlen Spector, would never sell America out for some extra cash.
