I'm doing a project with a couple of people and I'm supposed to do the city life of the industrial revolution. Anyone know what this might entail?

People in my group are already doing living conditions and working conditions, family life, and I think economy... Not really sure what city life could mean then.

Look into the Victorian Web

This is the best place to start your research.
Lots of interesting stuff.
Unemployment was very high.
People were allowed to starve - - there were few social welfare concerns then.
There was no safety net for those who were poor.
Often desperation led to theft which was severely punished.
Hence, the growth of the population of Australia - though this is an over simplification.
You might look into unemployment and the crime rate for your input into the group.
Another option might be crowding and communicable diseases such as tuberculosis, cholera, typhoid. There was poor sanitation in large industrial cities. London would be the best example. You could look up the "Big Stink" of 1858.
Poor sewage treatment led to massive urban outbreaks of intestinal infectious disease such as cholera and typhoid.
Good luck with your project.
