I've been called a loser, many times. Well mostly by my friend(s) but I do not understand what it means exactly... I mean, I think that I'm doing very well and I don't see what I could possibly be missing in my life (as a so-called "loser" or "no-life" probably does, and IF I am I can do well without it if someone understood my point there). So my question is: What makes someone a loser?
I mean, is it 'loserish' to be any of these things: smart, conscientious, caring, a little different, humorous etc...
The term seriously seems to have many different meanings, so I'm not saying that it is just someone who likes video games, computers, being nerdy, enjoying weird things... I really hope someone understands what I'm trying to say LOL =)

Well could someone explain what does it mean to "suck at life"? It's pretty confusing when "sucking at life" means different things to people.
I mean, someone might think that a person who's poor or jobless is a "loser" while the other might think he's very lucky because he has time to spend with his family, kids, etc... Is someone who's being happy "sucking at life"?
So think about that. (..It was just an example..)

in reality they are the "losers"...
they are the ones who in the end will hate their life & what they have become...unable to think for themselves...etc etc...

I think that 'loser' is an unfair term - you have no idea what is going on in a person's life so how can you judge them like that?
Don't take it to heart, (if you don't think that you are a loser, you probably wouldn't anyway...) chances are they are just jealous, even if they are your friends.
Don't worry, it happens! Some people can be so mean...

in terms of everyday talk i take it to mean your weird.
for example: if someone really really loves math someone else might call them a loser. it kinda means that your weird in a way. because a lot of people dont like math so any one that really really likes math is weird aka a loser.
in todays society and schools being all those things is being the opposite of being cool so some maybe a little loserish.

Loser is the only word that an insecure person can come up with to make them feel Higher it the( Hi - Low ) game they play.
most use the word to hurt. Don't let them get high cause you are in fact a winner.
The truth is the probably don't even know you to call you this

Actually a loser is someone who loses. But when people call you a loser, it means you're either unsuccessful or they're just teasing you, haha.

They're jealous. The only reason someone would call someone else a loser is if they were one. Winners dont call people that. or they may be pissed off and just calling you whatever name off the top of their head.
