According to their annual report for 2006 the "the weighted average number of Ordinary Shares in issue" was 416.8m. That would make each share approximately 0.00000024% ownership of the company.

For almost any company you can find that information in the annual report. For most companies it is easier just to look at a financial summary for the company on the web. For example, for GE I can get the "key statistics" page from Yahoo at

http://finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=GE

and see that there are 10.11 billion shares outstanding. To caluclate how much of the company is represented by one share, as a percentage, divide 100 by the number of shares outstanding.
