It will help you to be more specific when you say Mac.
The Operating System will be the determining factor.
OS-9 you don't need anything
OS 10-1 " " "
thru and including
OS 10-4 Same thing Nothing.
If you have an Intel based machine that will run Windows then you need your favorite Virus Software for the windows based system.
Although if you feel the need for OS Software here is a good choice.

Hi, Norton makes security products for Mac OS X. You may want to consider buying them, but make sure u have a firewall. I hope I helped.
