Squirt (dont spray) regular nasal saline solution in baby's nose and use a nasal aspirator to suck it all back out. It will stop the post nasal drip and curb the cause of the cough, and help flush out the germs irritating the sinuses and causing the cold.
Tylenol is fine for pains and fever, but just REGULAR infant tylenol.
If baby has a high fever that wont come down with medication, or is having trouble breathing its time to see a doctor.
Otherwise theres nothing you or the doctor can give baby for a virus.

First, check for fever. If it is high call the doctor or hospital. If not try running a hot shower and setting in the room with your baby. It will help the cough and stuffy noes. Feed often to keep hydrated. And don't give any medicine. Most has been recalled anyway.

How old is your baby?
I would put baby Vicks on his/her chest and back, swaddle him/her so that she is warm enough, not too warm because they may have cold chills from being over heated.
If you have anything with Eucalyptus oil, like a candle or oil burner, I would light that... it smells very medicinal, but with an infant I would not give medicine other than the Vicks Rub and they do have baby formula.
If your baby is over 1 year old, I would put some Honey into a warm bottle of milk to coat his/her throat. Honey is not good (At least from what I was told 8 years ago) for children under 1. If you decide he or she is close enough to one, please do it under your own advisement.

depends on the age of the baby. The important thing is to try to keep the temperature down- any paracetamol suspensions are good; if yo see it is not enough than you can give ibuprofen suspension providing that the child is not asthmatic. Olbas oil is good to clear the nose. If you have sleepless nights then there is a combination with paracetamol and antihistamine which helps the child to sleep, of course always follow the instructions and don't exceed the daily doze.

When you have a baby you need to go to the doctor pretty much constantly, even if it's only for advice.
Never, ever think you are annoying the doctor with something silly.
Make an appointment now.

Go to the Dr.
Get a humidifier to keep the air moist...
Keep the baby dressed warmly but not over warm.. (If you are comfortable in 1 layer of clothing the baby will be too)...
Don't use regular Vicks on babys skin it's far to harsh until after about 2 years old it can cause skin irritation... instead use Mentholatum or Baby Vicks...

Babies get an average of 12 colds their first year of life. To be on the safe side call your pediatrician's triage nurse. She'll tell you based on symptoms if the baby should be seen by a doctor or not.

my doctor never prescribed cold meds. as you may have heard there were parent killing their children because they were over doing it with meds. on certain meds.
suction, suction, suction the nose and use childrens/infant nasal spray to loosen up mucos.
suction, suction!!!
possibly infant tylenol or ibuprofen if fever or pain appears but always read labels on proper dosage
use a humidifier and when you suction nose it is normal for some slight blood in nose but this can be result from heaters in your house, that is why you use hummidifier
