Although it had all the flaws any televised debate has, I don't agree with people who object to questions from the other side. It's an important way to learn things about the candidates. And it beats the heck out of Bush's "town meetings" where the only people allowed in had to be willing to kiss his feet!
I thought it was hilarious at the beginning, when Mitt and Rudy almost came to blows! I did learn that Romney talks out of both sides of his mouth while Rudy just doesn't answer the question at all. I thought Huckabee came off well, though his statement about his beliefs informing his actions(that's not verbatim) makes me nervous. I thought Thompson and McCain both did well. I was terribly disappointed by the candidates responses to the gay general. Same old lies that were used against racial integration in the '40's - "no unit cohesion". Oddly enough, no one fears racially mixed units today!

Didn't get to see the debate because of work but have been listening to people rehashing the way the candidates responded and to some of the other interesting tidbits that happened. Huckabee is looking better all the time but he too has baggage and it will be interesting to see how he handles the increasing media coverage of his campaign. I also found it interesting that Hillary thought she should send in a questioner. It had to be her as CNN said"they did not know a thing about it". and the "general" works for her campaign.

When the last man is standing, they'll face that duplicitous hag Hillary or our own Islamo-terrorist, Obama. If recent events from MoveOn.org are any indication of things to come, they'll be relentlessly assaulted by the Democratic scrotal fungus. Might as well get in a few warm up laps.
Edit:
And someone who posts an answer like this represents the superior education of the liberal states?
"Those eight white men look puppets on stage With some one far right pulling there stings."
What a joke.

I think it should be stricken from the record entirely. The questions were suppose to come from "undecided" Republican voters, but one quarter of the questions came from people working for Democrat candidates or Democrat Congress people.
Image what we would be saying about a Democrat debate where the questions were suppose to come from undecided Democrat voters and one quarter of the questions came from Republican operatives?
The entire debate is invalid.

Huckabee supports Amnesty and for that issue alone he will not get my vote. I am disappointed in CNN that they have yet again showed the world what a cheap network they are.

Since most of it was planted questions designed to knock the candidates off issue and embarrass them, not much! i agree with you that Huckabee is starting to look interesting.
