It's not that I hate being a teenager. It's just that it's such a difficult time. After all, that's partly the reason why they call it the "critical decade". Apparent reasons to hating it would be the changes in your body, puberty, change in views, opinions, etc, harder stuff in school, friends, family issues, criticism, racism, responsibilities, and so many others. Think about this question: If I think it is this hard now, then how hard is it going to be later on in my life?

Understand how this stage of life should be: it will be much more difficult later on in life, and what's happening now while we're teenagers helps us prepare for what's in store for us. It's suppose to help us grow into adulthood. Even though you hate being a teenager, just take the time to learn from it. Find some joy into it. Being a teenager is supposed to be fun and adventurous. I find it interesting also, at the same time...you get to experience things you've never experienced b4...you are able to make new friends and meet new people...you get certain rights and more freedom...you get to experiment with life...you get to do LOTS of things, so instead of looking into why you hate it, spend time looking into why it's worthwhile. :)

Why I hate being a teenager... Hummmm
1. People expect you to grow up.
2. The pimples come.
3. Oily skin and scalp.
4. You are being yelled at although there's nothing wrong.
5. Some of us girls are tempted to get a boyfriend although we can't cause of over protective parents.
6. You tend to do stupid things.
7. Everyone thinks you are one of the typical, bad mouthed teens although you aren't.
8. The wardrobe malfunction. Every girl's nightmare.
9. Your choices and actions are still limited by rules.
10. You still get the same allowance, although you need more for hanging out with friends in shopping malls.
11. If you are under 18, you still aren't allowed to drive and drink. That sucks.

Well, there's more to be said...

Your teenage years are very difficult times.

Your body is changing, as are your friends. Everyone's getting into things and making decisions that will affect the rest of their lives.

Even though your hormones or views may cause you to fight or challenge them, this is still the best time there is to have a good relationship with your parents. If you're a girl, your mom can help you with all sorts of issues. Same for dads and boys. We may not think it, but they've heard and done it all before, worse probably.

Just ride it out.

Spose the exams and constant studying gets annoying. Everyone pressuring you.."this is the most important time of your life, so work hard".
Sometimes it all gets on top of teenagers sometimes, but then again..
You can party, you are able to go out with mates, and have fun before you have to be an adult! =]
16 soon, and I love being a teenage most of the time! I dont wana grow up yet! xD

I'm 22 and I miss teenage days. Maybe it's because I've never tried alcohol or had a girlfriend. In those days I was quite interested in music and films. If you like going to the cinema, it would be good to do that quite a lot. Things you like to do as a teenager might not appeal to you when you're older.

I hated it, mostly because I did not fit in with my peers. I was a gifted student in a small school, so I took a lot of teasing, from one spoiled brat in particular who was the local queen bee, but it filtered out into the general population.

Once, for example, everyone was standing around in the courtyard before school began, talking about last weekend and what they planned to do the next weekend, and the moment I opened my mouth to speak, the brat yelled out "Everybody quiet! Miss Dictionary is about to speak!" and when she busted out laughing at her own lame joke, so did all her little followers.

One time my glasses broke, and for about a week after that, every time anybody found a thick piece of glass, they'd come up to me in front of everybody and hand it to me and say something like, "I found this, I think it's yours."

If I took a shower after PE, someone was guaranteed to toss my dry clothes into a puddle while I was in the shower - I chose not to be in athletics in high school because of this, even though I loved sports.

There's just too much more.

Edit to add: There wasn't much "good stuff." My homelife was anything but peachy, and school was a guantlet of social torture to get through every single day.

At the moment, I am loving being a teenager. I've realised that it's the stage of my life where i have to have as much fun as possible cause things are just gonna get harder. I justlove taking advantage of the fact that i dont have to by food or pay tax etc... AAAH LIFE IS GOOOD!
