i rarely see any questions about pop in this section?

Maybe (& hopefully) it's a rough indication that's the direction we're going in now. Nationwide.
I'd guess that if this were, say, 1999, the scales might be a bit more balanced. Maybe even tipping in favor of pop.

Well yes it's called rock ad pop but there are so many rock questions that the pop ones get over whelmed. So they get lost or don't get posted. Look under other you should find them there. (Also I think rock is more popular than pop but I may be wrong)

Rock music always seems to be lumped into the Pop category, and frankly, us people who like Rock music are probably fed up with it. Pop and Rock should have their own category slots. I'm always moaning about this. Sorry.
(shouts across! ) "While you're at it Yahoo peeps, can we have a darts category too. I thought there was one, but it seems to have gone missing again. :-) "

because pop questions usually end up in like the r&b/soul section or other- music
oh, and because rock is way more important!!

Because in general Pop music is seen as manufactured or cheesy or both. There is some good pop out there but not much!

There are some once in a while but i tend to notice them more in the Other - Music section.
Perhaps we've scared the Pop lovers away..
edit; Though i do love to have a good old natter about Madonna once in a while. Hmm.

because nothing is classified as pop anymore really. its all r&b and hip hop.
Rock should have its own section.

im hoping becuz ppl got sense knocked into them over night and they no longer have the idea that pop is even music! =/ sorry if i was mean but its how i feel
