It is actually a fashion trend now, especially teenagers copy each other. It seems cool to them & let them feel free "No string attached" when they untuck their shirt under a sweater. Don't worry, talk to him, ask him about what his friends are wearing, how do they wear it, "how do you think if someone untuck their shirt", pointing to examples on the streets, listen to him & let him talk then you'll understand. I think it is just a sign for his puberty, that's all.

I actually like the look of shirt tails out with a sweater over it. I see a lot of people who wear their clothes like that so it must also be in fashion too.

Every generation wants to rebel a little, be glad he hasn't heard of the "show your underpants off" fashion.
Who cares what the fashion is tell him to tuck his shirt in.
If he thinks he might get picked on for being a nerd, send him to a non-violent self defense class like Aikido; then show him how much money an unscrupulous nerd like Bill Gates can make.

It only gets worse Just wait! Just smile nod your head hide the kids in there rooms when guests come over, they like it there anyway. Try to impress on them there is a time and place for Getto look and dressing up and looking sharp. It won't work. Just hope he does not go Gothic and wearing black make up. Remember we wanted to look different from our parents.

your son is not the only one doing this.
lads don't tuck their shirts in anymore it is not that it is a fashion statement as such but you tend to be looked upon as a nerd or **** if you do.

Fashion is any representation of orginality, if your son is being orginal then yes its fashion. If he's trying to look like everyone else then its just pretending.
