A lot!! I'd say at least 5 a day. Mostly teeny tiny ones, but every now and then a humongous one. A bit of interesting information (and scary, to me) I saw on TV that no matter where you are, you are NEVER more than 6 feet away from a spider. UGH!

Spiders can be a problem for most people, but are easily controlled. When I notice webs or spiders, I break out the vacuum and suck the little buggers up along with the webs. Pay particular attention in corners and where wall meets ceiling. Closets should be vacuumed also. You can exclude the attic, basement and garage if you want to, but they will end up being a breeding ground for more spiders. Also where you have an entry door, or often opened window, spiders will take it as an invitation to enter. Vacuum around these areas also to keep them from entering the home.

eeek! smash! eeew!!!!
I live in a second floor apt and have been here for 7 years and I would say that maybe I have found 2 spiders a year here. But when I lived in a house, it was a daily spider hunt and they were mostly in my basement shower - oh the basement so I guess they don't count. I would keep raid in my car, and in every room. Spiders loved that house no matter what I did. But I stayed there 4 years, living in fearful expectation of coming in contact with those dreaded huge spiders. I am even afraid of this question.

When I moved into my house I was really impressed that there were extractor fans built into the bathrooms and the kitchen. Now I hate the things because they are an easy way for the spiders to get in. Our bathroom is like the local spider nightclub!!

Very rarely now! I saw a tip in a magazine last year about putting conkers in those dark hard to reach corners. Also I've taped a piece of net curtain (cut to size) over any windows that I leave open throughout the year. So far it has worked wonders, I've even put the vacuum back in the cupboard now instead of by the side of my bed!

I have more Daddy-long-legs living in my home than Spiders, though the Spiders always hang out more in the kitchen.

Not too often if you keep it tidy and clean. Make sure to sweep it everyday for like 15 minutes and on a day like Saturday or Sunday clean it well.
