For me, it's a toss up between Italian and Portugese. ASL is also very sexy.

To me, body language is the most romantic...the eyes (searching asking and then telling all those beautiful things), the lips ( a smile can say it all !!) the arms (reaching out to hold someone [hopefully me] and to a safe place to belong, the hands (holding anothers, touching ones face so tenderly and stroking one's cheeks), the legs (bringing two lovers together so that they may share each other), now the entire body's language is a presentation of longing and loving and then sign-language saying "I LOVE YOU" ------now all of this is the most romantic language to me. "You say it best PT; when you say nothing at all!"

They come from Latin, which was spoken by the Romans, hence the term Romantic languages. I guess what makes them sound romantic is the musical quality of it or the way it sounds. Many consider French (a Romance language) the language of love because of its musical quality. In fact, the French themselves, who set up their language, designed their whole language around the way it would end up sounding to others. They wanted it to sound beautiful, like music rather than language. So that's what makes some languages so romantic: the way it is set up and the it is pronounced.

I used to think Hindi, Urdu, French, Italian and Spanish were the most romantic languages. It really depends on who it is that is saying the romantic endearments.

They say French or Italian.

To me, any language can be romantic.

What matters is the way you profess your love. Whatever language that might be, if you say "I love you" and the words are sincere and the love is there, that's romance!

And sometimes, you don't even have to say anything to show your love! ;)

French, Italian, and Spansish are all beautiful, and back in the day, were the languages only the nobles could speak.

Whatever language brings the person love and harmony. At our house it is: Sleepese-speaking to my husband as he's going to sleep and he answers anything with Uh huh, yeah, OK!
