I have a Dell XPS 400.

Looks like the prices start at about $39 per gig from RAM dealers. RAM is good though. It really is worth the price. You might be able to get a couple of used sticks on Craigslist.org or eBay for less then $50. It's worth a shot.

Honestly I doubt you'll be able to find 2g of decent RAM without it being a special limited edition deal for $50. RAM takes forever to go down in price.

Check out Newegg.com and Tigerdirect.com. The generally have the best deals on RAM.

I got 4 GB of RAM for $50. You can easily get 2GB for around $35. There are various manufacturers that make this like Corsair and OCZ. Look at this site:
