It looks very much like he wasted tax payers money for his own little pleasures
http://www.politico.com/news/stories/1107/7073_Page3.html

An affair is one thing though it's a bit weird to see Republicans embrace a guy who acts like that after the whole Clinton witch hunt but abusing tax payers money to accomodate your imorality? Doesn't America deserve better?

The documents, obtained by Politico under New York’s Freedom of Information Law, show that the mayoral costs had nothing to do with the functions of the little-known city offices that defrayed his tabs, including agencies responsible for regulating loft apartments, aiding the disabled and providing lawyers for indigent defendants.

Taking $10,000 from apartment safety inspections, $10,000 from the disabled, and $400,000 from the legal defense fund for indigent defendants should actually earn him some stripes from the Republican party power brokers. Fox News will play this down and play up his 9-11 credentials. After all where else can they find a man who is labeled a liberal but who actually defines "freedom" in this way:

"freedom is not a concept in which people can do anything they want, be anything they can be. Freedom is about authority. Freedom is about the willingness of every single human being to cede to lawful authority a great deal of discretion about what you do."

And where else can they find a man who has all but promised to bomb Iran.

"Is a vote for Rudy a vote for war"

I may be too cynical, but I think the big money boys will just pour a lot more cash into Giuliani's campaign and saturate the airwaves with propaganda. Republican voters will choose him simply because he is the most authoritarian of the eight candidates.

I asked a similar question not too long ago.

I think Rudy is going down despite Rupert Murdoch's attempt to prop him up. Which in and of itself is interesting.

Too many things are coming up, there's also apparently some misdealings with the middle east post 9/11 that he will also have to explain. Looking grim for Rudy these days and I don't think Mitt Romney is going to be the fall back candidate. Looking bad for the GOP.

It is strange that a man who claims to be catholic is married three times, has had affairs and thinks the states should have the say about abortion might end up being the GOP candidate for the white house. I think that pretty much throws out any claim that the republicans are the party of high moral standards...and then we have what's his face Rudy wanted to head homeland security disgraced and now this. Please, tell me again about the republican platform on morals.

Many people who were critical of Clinton's behavior were politically motivated, but many did also because of genuine disgust. The latter group will also be disgusted by Giuliani behavior. All Republicans have not embraced Giuliani.

I can't believe he has made it thus far.
I can understand security for the mayor, but paying for his mistress and weekends in the Hamptons
I have always felt this guy is greasy.
America does deserve better than a corrupt fear monger.

it really doesn't matter who the people want for president anyway. the voting machines are all rigged and the "the new world order" people will decide who gets elected. that front man will do their bidding, no matter what. we're all deluded.

and I reserve the right to tell you........"I told you so."
