Honestly, I recommend http://www.zamzar.com/url . I've used it for a long time and had no probs with it at all!
Just copy/paste the YouTube URL into the box and click Convert to mp4 (or, if you want just the audio, Convert to mp3. This is used for music, etc.) Then type in your email.
A few mins later they'll send you an email, simply click on the link, press Download, Save, and save it somewhere. Mp4's are usually 7 or 8 MB (but can be larger, depends on how long the vid is) and mp3's are usually 2 or 3 MB.
Then just open it with whatever program you use. I use iTunes. For iTunes, just click File > Add File to Library.

I recommend you is to download video to your computer, then you can play downloaded video on your computer with a flv player whenever you want
