I am another one of the 5 a.m. people. If I could sleep until 6 a.m. I would be really happy. The only person I have to face in the morning is myself in the mirror and believe me, some days it is not a pretty sight.

Eve T and I have similar habits! I get up at 7:30 let my horse size dog out and then go back a snooze for a bit and then get up around 8:30 and begin my day. I have never been a early morning person, wish I was but just could never get into the routine. Lucky for me when I worked I didn't have to be there till 8:00AM but back in those days I was up at 6:30 or so getting the kids off to school before I left.

Oh boy do I ever feel like a bum after seeing that you all get up so much earlier than I do. I usually wake up around 9:00
take the dogs out and then back to bed to read, drink my coffee and watch TV for an hour or so. I got up early for work and kids for a million years and swore that when I retired I would get up when I felt like it. So I do. I am more of a night person and don't usually go to bed before 11:00 or midnight but I read for quite a while after I get in bed and cuddle up with my little puppies. I love my life. I do my housework and run errands and go to physical therapy or the Y in the afternoon.
My philosophy is....if I don't get it done by 7:00 pm, it gets done the next day.

I guess I am the lucky one here. On an early day I wake up about 7:15. The other days I wake up about 8 or so and then lounge in bed until I feel like getting up. I put in my time as an early rise when the kids were younger and now I enjoy a leisurely rise. I am a morning person though. Just not an early morning person.

I have always been a nightowl...which means that I was seriously sleep deprived for much of my adult life......HA!
I've been retired now for 2 years and can indulge my tendencies. Rarely go to bed before 1:00am...sometimes 2 or 3. My body wakes up somewhere between 7:30 and 9:00...no matter what time I go to bed. Alright with me, though, good excuse to pile down for a late afternoon nap sometimes.
I love the late night hours. I swear, the atmosphere changes. It's so wonderfully quiet with no traffic noises, every place around me is dark - most people in bed. I love to read a good book, drink tea, curled up on the sofa...or watch a classic movie - something with Bette Davis or Katherine Hepburn.... Those classics seem to go with late night...

I'm definitely a morning person. I never used to be back when I was working, though. I'd keep hitting the snooze button on my alarm. Now that I can sleep late, I always wake up early, like around 4 or 5 AM. I do love an afternoon nap, when I can get one. LOL

Through the week I get up at 5:30 to go to work. On weekends I get up around 6:30. I'm a morning person too. I hate staying in bed.

I get up at 6a.m. every single day. I need to ease into my mornings and that is why I get up a half hour before I need to . I get to have a cup of coffee or tea and boot up the computer and check emails in silence. By the time I have to get my son up I am in a good mood. Often go to bed around 9 p.m. to read for a bit before sleep.

Usually get up around 6:30 AM except when I go to work at McDonald's three days a week. Then I get up at 4:15AM. There isn't anyone around when I get up except the dogs and they seem to like me at that time in the morning.

Definitely a morning person. I used to work 6a.m. till 2p.m and get up at 4.30a.m. I now work 7a.m. to 1p.m. which is much nicer but I am still up at 5.30a.m.
I like to do yesterdays crossword and a few Sodukos just to get the brain functioning. Two cups of tea and I'm off!
Very rarely fall asleep during the evening and go to bed about 10p.m.
