I don't know if I am having B/B, G/G, or B/G, all I know is that I am having twins!!! I love hyphenated names. But I don't like names with Caitlin (or any spelling), Anne or Ann, or Mary, or Marie. Also I'd like the names to be unique and not at all popular...

So, any hyphenated name ideas? For boys and for girls?

I kinda like the name Katie-Jay... (this is the only name I like with a popular name in it)

Katie-Jay is a nickname, or possibly a cartoon character, but it shouldn't be a child's formal name.

That said, I understand your desire to avoid Top Ten and even Top 100 names. A few you might like include:

Romilly
Avalon
Jacinda
Gelsey
Hadley
Sylvie
Elodie
Lyric

Dante
Heath
Rhys
Bram
Vaughn

If you really want to call your daughter Katie-Jay, why not name her Katharine Jacinda, Katherine Janis or even Katharine Jaye? She can use the cute nickname, but when she grows up, she'll have something to grow into!

Her sister could be Elisabeth Delaney - Ella-Dee. I think you're better off skipping the hyphens for boys - unless you're French or the captain of the Starship Enterprise, I think they sound rather feminine.

She won't be five forever. :)
