The Japanese battleships, the Yamato and the Musashi were the largest ever built. They also mounted the largest guns ever, 18 inch. They displaced approximately 72,000 tons fully loaded. They were both sunk by air power before the end of the war.
The Bismark was never the largest, even when it was new. It was a powerful ship, but was mostly feared as a surface raider, attacking merchant vessels. The Iowa class was the largest battleships built by the US, but not the biggest ever.

The Japanese battleship Yamato was the BIGGEST battleship ever built. It was a monster of well over 75,000 tons fully loaded, with 200,000-horsepower turbines giving a top speed of 31 knots and a range of 7200 miles, and hosting a crew of 2,747 officers and men.

Yamato, lead ship of a class of two 65,000-ton (over 72,800-tons at full load) battleships, was built at Kure, Japan. She and her sister, Musashi were by far the largest battleships ever built, even exceeding in size and gun caliber (though not in weight of broadside) the U.S. Navy's abortive Montana class. Their nine 460mm (18.1-inch) main battery guns, which fired 1460kg (3200 pound) armor piercing shells, were the largest battleship guns ever to go to sea, and the two ships' scale of armor protection was also unsurpassed.

The Yamamoto built by Japan. They did build two but one was transformed into a carrier Muashsi, the other made a suicide mission during the battle of Okinawa. The battleship was filled with just enough fuel to reach Okinawa and beach itself to act as land battery. Unfortunately for the Japanese as soon as the ship left Japan the Americans swarmed it and sank its escorts. The ship was sunk about 200 miles north of Okinawa by the Americans.

In terms of length, it may have been HMS Hood, which was sunk by the Bismarck.

I think it was the U.S.S. Missouri. Or maybe the Bismark.
