no i wanna know why they don't say "i'd like to give a shout out to god, my friends, my mom, ect."

I only see those receiving awards – like an Emmy, Oscar or Grammy – giving “honor & glory to God first as the head of [my] life”. Even then more and more entertainers are dropping the “give thanks to God first” speech. I suppose most of it has to do with America being determined to X out God whenever possible.
Though this country was initially founded on God/religion, today’s society is doing its best to legislate God out of every possible part of our lives. I wouldn’t be surprised if one day soon it will become against the law to even mention God on television. We won’t even talk about how hard some are trying to eliminate God from church houses across the country.
Isn’t it funny how a country that is so determined to stamp out God becomes the first to say “God Bless America” when tragedy like 9/11 happens? Go figure!

Maybe God can hear whispers as well as shouts.
There is a verse in Matthew, Chapter 6, where Jesus says that a man shouldn't stand on the street and make his prayers known, but to take them into secret places to show his faith to God, not to wear it pridefully in front of others.

Cos a lot of people don't believe that God really exists I guess !! ............. With all the famine, grief and poverty in this world I can't say I blame them.

you are not allowed to push your religious views on others. it is the land of the free and they will do what they want when it comes to religion! not your bias beliefs . we have the right to our ways of worship -not yours. you keep yours and I'll keep mine.

They do rarely.. but if you do hear it, it's from sports or award shows.
