ok here goes nothing....During a promotion, a music store gives a free CD to every fifteenth customer and a free DVD t oevery fortieth cutomer. Which customer well be the first to get both gifts? HELP!!!!!

Eithen, Michelle and Kam volunteer at the swinning pool. Eithen works every 5 days. Michelle works every 6 days. Kam works every 15 days. They are working together today. How many days well it ne untill the next time they work together? i am sorry for the Q's...but i atleast i put used to Yahoo answers! lol! thnks! :^D ♥

The second one is 30. Do you not know how to work these out? Just find the lowest number which they are all factors of.
EDIT: Haha, it's funny how people keep answering when the correct answer has been given at least 4 times.

The 120th Customer
Custumer 15, 30, 45, 60, 75, 90. 105 and 120 will get CD
Customer 40, 80 and 120 will get DVD

the customer should be both a 15th and 40th customer.
the 15th and 40th counts should occur some number of times before the customer comes.
the actual number of the customer should be a multiple of both 15 and 40.
since he is the first such customer it should be the L.C.M of 15 and 40, which is 120.

get the least common multiple of 15 and 40 either by continuous division of listing method:

15= 15,30,45,60...120
40 = 40,80,120

The 120th customer will be the first to get both gifts.
