First, invest in a good digital camera, about $200 or so. You'll need a flash and a small "set" made of white fabric backdrop and a small fill light to avoid shadows.
This investment will help you take really good pictures of your crafts, an essential so people can see what they're purchasing.
Next, set up a PayPal account on ebay. Although some ebay merchants will only take credit cards or money orders, PayPal is by far the easiest payment route for customers. It does have difficulties sometimes for sellers if there are problems with the sale. However, these are the same problems you'd have as a credit card merchant. Basically, the customer is always right; the burden of proof is always on the merchant.

Start an ebay account (or at whatever auction site you like, but ebay's the widest viewed) and begin placing your items for sale. You don't have to do the auction thing either; you can have a set "buy it now" price and not have bids.

Read a LOT of other seller's descriptions to see how to write yours. Be very accurate as to what you're selling, and make sure you tell people where you'll sell and ship to. If you don't want to ship internationally, don't sell there.
Download the USPS Priority Mail shipping table from usps.com. Use that as a guide for how much to charge for shipping. The USPS will send you free boxes if you order them online! There's a lot of different sizes of boxes, from small video tape and CD mailers on up.

If you're going to do this as a regular business, you should consult your CPA about possible tax issues. Instate sales should have your state's sales tax added, and you'll need to apply for a tax license id#.

Good luck!

Before you pay fees to e Bay or another site you may want to try it on your own, FREE. Yahoo Groups are an excellent outlet to start and get your name out there. Go to Yahoo Groups and look for selling, yardsale and craft sites in your area. No fees at all and very user friendly. A Pay Pal account is helpful as well.
I started out about 6 years ago and am now international. OK, not a Fortune 500 company but it is gas money at the very least. You can contact me through Yahoo Answers e mail if you have any questions. Good luck

Because spelling and grammar do not come easily to you, I would advise you to use Ebay. Look at how other listings are written, and try to do what they do. Have good pictures. Buy a few small items so you can see what your customers are going to experience.

After a year or so, when you get talented at writing descriptions, taking pictures, shipping efficiently, and using Paypal to collect peoples' money, go to http://Tripod.com and set up a free website. Then you can upgrade to an ad-free site when the money starts coming in.
