The world dooms day is filling us with horrors of atrocious life when the world is destroyed by pollution and global warming. It must make me seem stupid when I ask what the hell is the big deal about the whole economy?

No, I don't think it's lost to us. Human beings have a history of being sloppy when it comes to the environment. For eons we didn't have to worry about it. We could pitch our tents and start up a fire without guilt! (LOL!)

However, humans are also amazingly adaptable and resilient. The proof is in the big "green" movement going on. A problem was recognized and the question of how I can help improve the situation, was immediately asked. The movement has caught on in the US and Europe and I'm not sure where else. Peasants in many countries still cook and heat entirely with coal or charcoal. Until a cleaner alternative is given to them, their way of life will not change. It hasn't in thousands of years!

I still have hope for mankind to really make an impact to turn the situation of climate change around. Call me naive, but no matter what happens, humans find a way to cope.

And I agree, when the fate of the entire planet is resting on our shoulders, the petty differences and issues people have seem insignificant. We are but shadows and dust surrounded by the vast sea of space.

But we must do every
thing possible to right the situation.

We are very worried about global pollution. Look at all around us and see us puffing cigarettes like goods trains-adding more pollution to the environment.
