It's not just the shower... guys like to masturbate. It's just a fact of life. You shouldn't feel jealous if your husband is masturbating. It's not that you aren't good enough. It's not that he doesn't want you. Masturbation is a guy's time to be alone with himself. He doesn't have to impress anyone, or talk to anyone. He doesn't have to work hard to please anyone but himself. It's just pure pleasure to them. So don't worry if he's doing it. Your husband still loves you and still wants you... he just wants to be with himself too. My husband admits to masturbating multiple times a day and he still wants to have sex with me all the time. We've been married for three years now. You're complete acceptance of who he is will keep him coming back for more. It's when you start dressing him and giving him rules and telling him he can't touch himself that he starts to pull away from you. Don't think of it as an insult to you... just think of it as alone time for him. Like when you take a long bubble bath or shop for shoes.
Now if he's doing it and then pushing you away, it's time to talk about it because there's some underlying issue.

hmm...i dont really think its such a bad thing. The only time I would worry is if i was the wife and he wasnt giving it to me from time to time but does it in the shower. If he is sharing with his wife too though then hes probably just having a little quickie to himself in a nice, easy to clean space where he can get in and get out. Maybe he just wants to relax and clear his mind. I dont think it always means he has a wandering mind. I talk to my husband about it sometimes and he does it everynow and then, and so do I and i dont want to cheat on him. Its normal....Dont worry about it too much unless he's showing other problem signs.
