family, instead of seniority, is the rule there. i'm about to go postal (not really).
its going to be super busy.
if i get less than 6hrs of sleep, i'm useless.
since i'm kind of in the running for a managerial position (which i would not hate), now is not the time to call in sick, or too tired or whatever.
now what?

unfortunately it's totally your call.... although i'm inclined to agree with Nerdy, (as anyone who really gives a damn about you would.) just know that you are in my thoughts, always.

I would call in sick. I am useless without at least 8 hours of sleep. Tell yourself you ARE sick when you call in, so you'll sound it. Or if you really want to go in, try to lay down and get some rest, I've heard it's almost as good as sleep. And set the alarm in case you do fall asleep.

I've been in that situation. Start thinking of the reasons to go that are beneficial to you: paying the bills, how good that will look in your resume afterwards, and then start thinking about how you'll start your search for the new job that you deserve.

it's probably the stress and your feelings about your job. it's too late to take a sleep aide, it would be better to call in instead of working poorly due to lack of sleep.

crank one out- always puts me to sleep. or just read a book, give your mind something to think about instead of problems. You'll doze off.
