Ok for all you psych smart people out there, tell me this. I heard that this doesn't work that well from one person in my college campus that is good in psychology, but I couldn't find anything about it anywhere in my psych text book. Can someone please tell me cause I am the most curious about this than anything else right now.

How long did it take you to speak English + 1 more year because your not in the right enviornment for that language. Example I learned Italian in 8 months because I was living in Italy; but I forgot I lot of english and spanish because I was not in the right enviornment. Go to Asia to study it will 10X FASTER.

Not at all, but it's rather the rhymns and beat of the music that lead to your emotions to be motivated and stimulated - to react on it and make a self interpretation on how the music works on your totality. Unless you strives an effort to known what was the real meaning of that foreign language that you've been listening.Remember, your choice of music is a reflection of your personality and character. it has a big role in one mans life.

It can't hurt. You are bound to hear some of it while conscious, and perhaps anything that seeps in while you're sleeping helps too.

I wouldn't count on it working without actually studying the language while you are awake, but you may as well do both in conjunction. :)

No, but listening to CDs in your sleep helps when another lanuage is being taught to those who speak your lanauge. The primary lanuage that your brain uses has to have something to compare a new word with before it can understand the meaning of that word.

I actually did it this to help learn Chinese, and I think it helped. But it's better to listen to the songs while you're awake.
