Actually, your brain doesn't shake with such minor movement, you need a punch or some other violent action like a car accident. Babies have been killed from shaking because of the violent movement, but your brain is safe if you just shake or nod your head.

I think shaking our head is something we've learned conventionally to express exasperation, disagreement, etc. The brain doesn't shake with it motion-wise.
But an earthquake can shake it figuratively.
And a whopping left hook from a woman scorned can shake it literally...and blow us to kingdom come!

yes...'cos whenever i shake my head....for me, i feel like something inside my head is shaking.......but brains don't really shake..........
