i'm done with the movies. the books are where its at. its the little details that the movies cant even get right that bother me: Harry has GREEN eyes. How many times to they stress that? Many over the course of the books, none in the movie series.
Maybe the next two will be something, I don't know.

I'm not counting down the days for the DVD release. I'm looking forward to the Half-Blood Prince film because the stories of Harry and Dumbledore researching Voldemort's past might be something that a movie can do well.
Movies can never cover all that is in a book. Since I know that, I just hope for a good movie, and then I go and re-read the book!

Even though disappointed with the movie, I'm still waiting for the DVD to come out.
True, the movie didn't do the book any justice, but still...I'd like to have a whole collection of the DVDs and books and whatnot.

I completely agree with the opinons expressed in the last and first answers.
I do watch the movies just out of curiosoty but when the movie is done I'm just dissapointed.
the only reason so many people watch the movies, is because they like the books and know it would make a great movie but, they weren't right.
And I also agree with the eye thing...It really pisses me off too!!!!! I mean come on!!! couldn't he at least wear contact lenses???
It's more like a parody of the book, instead of a movie of it.... I'm suprised J.K.Rowling didn't try to correct the mistakes and point out that leaving some stuff that they left out just ruins the whole story...

I think that the book is better than the movie.
the movie's alright, but I like prisoner of azkaban and goblet of fire movie more than order of the phoenix. maybe I shouldn't have read order before watching the movie. It(the movie) didn't really live up to my expectations.

I want to watch the movies, but, like you said, htey don't do any justice to the books, and I saw the previews, but any part close to the book wasn't close at all. Umbridge was supposed to look like a toad, but she doesn't look like a toad. That was what really got me mad. I hoped they would find a toadlike person like the Umbridge, but they didn't. How rude.

i have seen it...and it was nothing compare to book....it is really annoying that they do not do justice to the books when books have such a great story themselves....and for those who seem their biggest problem to be that harry eyes must be green, i think more disturbing than that is VOLDEMORT EYES MUST BE RED not blue.....he seems quite mortal....anyway if they would remain faithful to the story of the books these minor faults could have been overlooked.

I will see it. I will be disapointed. I hope that the last book is divided into two parts. Part one in the Summer, and the final part in December. It would allow the book to be better represented. AND ANYONE IN HOLLYWOOD, YOU WOULD SELL TWICE THE TICKETS AND TWICE THE DVDs.
