I was having a bowl of cereal reading the newspaper right before I took off for bed and I saw an add in the toys r us section for a star wars lego. It made me wonder who comes up with how to ACTUALLY make the things. Does anyone have an idea? I mean. Do they have people who sit behind there desks with different types of legos and try to create a specific object? Or do they have a program on the computer where they input what they want and it spits out how to make it. So anyways. I was just curious about that, if anyone has any answers I would love to hear them, I know its a random question but I thought it was a good one. Thanks guys!

legos have always been big here in the states. They never needed to pay for advertising because they sold successfully on their own because it was an OUTSTANDING product.

now since their sales have started to drop in the past 10 years they've needed to create an advertising campaign to sell more.

Personally I think the sales dropped because the sets today are built with drastically different unique parts, the sets are small and are very expensive for what you get. if you want to build really cool parts, you need to buy MANY little sets for high dollar.........

computers, engineers and people actually just put them together.

some of the kits are actually contest winners or ideas submitted by others who built them at home.

ever go see a lego display when it comes to town? they have huge displays of moving ferris wheels, the white house, statude of liberty, star trek enterprise, etc. unreal, millions upon millions of lego's to build these things.

I still have mine from when I was a kid.
