ZERO legitimate eveidence!!! no creature has ever been labeled as "existing" just because of footprints and many bigfoot footprints have been proven and admitted to being manmade... now look at all the vids and pics (raw only - not enhanced or altered) and it takes a very very creative imagination to say any of them are believable to be bigfoot... even the 1967 Bluff Creek video is a creature with brand new shiny fur right off the rack with extremely definative straight symetrical edges at feet and face, not the look or lay fur of animal living in the wild would have... everytime someone sees or hears something mysterious in the woods it gets labelled as bigfoot... i've spent lots of time alone deep in the woods and seen and heard starnge and scary things myself but i could just as easily say it was a gorilla, alien, werewolf, or phsyco instead of bigfoot... why does it have to be bigfoot and not werewolf?? why would werewolf or hairy alien be any less believable??? answer that and you know why there are bigfoot skeptics

Well, I'm from a culture.. *ahem* that has many tall tales of the legendary bigfoots.. and because all of the descriptions and motives of the bigfoots differ.. it's difficult to believe that bigfoot is not just another fictional creature thought up by my delusional ancestors.
If you were to hear one story where bigfoot is a gigantic, hairy, ape-like monster who kidnaps the village beauty one special time of the year to make her his bride.. and hear another story where bigfoot is a midget with huge feet who smokes a whole lot of weed and causes mischeif by playing small pranks.... would you believe it existed?
Moreso, proof that we are linked with apes does not appeal to many. Who can say these eye-witnesses are reliable anyway? Might I remind you that Mt. Everest is located in China where folktales are plenty? In fact, it is the culture by which the tales of bigfoot may have originated for my own.
And what makes it more difficult to believe is that, even with a picture, people have no means of proving the photo-evidence was not edited in any way.
Goodluck with that.

Excellent question... There have been numerous documented cases of genetic abnormalities that cause excessive hair growth all over a human body. There are also many species being discovered every year including some that were thought to be extinct.
Personally, I have an open mind about it. However, we live in a society that is trained in "scientific reductionism." If something cannot be proved beyond a reasonable doubt, you are taught to deny its existence.
There is also something called cognative dissonance, where new facts collide with existing beliefs. I suspect the reasons for skepticism about bigfoot are the same reasons that people (and media networks) refuse to challenge the Warren Commission report (on the Kennedy assassination) assumption of the lone assassin (Lee Oswald, former CIA operative).
Am I being a bigot when I think that conservatives are narrow-minded bigots?

People may think they have seen a bigfoot, but have they ever found their bones? You would think bigfoot bones would be easier to find than dinosaur bones since bigfoot is supposed to be still living amongst us.

In Australia we call them Yowlies & there hundreds of sitings a year. The Aborigines painted them in caves& have many dreamtime stories about them. If you see one dont corner it because it would be stronger than a footballer with more fear. Dont shoot one because if it is more human than ape you could be charghed with murder. I belive that the a b snow man, bigfoot, scunkape ,sasquat, yowie are living relatives of neanderals & our cromagnan ancesters. -- Homo erectus.
