The size of your tank only matters in determining what wattage your heater should be. Make sure you purchase a good quality heater with a thermostatic control to regulate the temperature consistently. Temperatures for tropical fish range from 70 - 85 degrees F. You'll need to research the type of fish you have and determine what temperature is best for your tank.

When talking temperature, the size of the tank does not matter. The only size will matter is in determining what size heater you put in the tank. You have an approx. 54L (14 gal.) tank, so you will need a 100 watt heater. The proper temperature for most tropical fish is around 24 to 28oC

Most tropical fish need temps ranging between 75 and 85 F (24 - 30 C)
In that 50L (10 gallon) tank, you'll need to use a heater, of course.

Doesnt matter about the tank size! Most tropical fish live best in water between 21oC and 27oC! Just make sure the water is circulating well so all the water is getting heated!

Size doesn't matter in this case, other than that a larger tank may need a larger heater to maintain temperature. Depends on the occupants' requirements, normally upper 70's Fahrenheit.

Size shouldn't matter when it comes to heating your tank-it's the preference of whatever type(s) of fish you're keeping.
Most tropical fresh-water fish like temps around 76-82 degrees farenheit.

The size if the tank effects how quickly the temperature drops when the heater is off. The heater effects how quickly it warms back up and the over all range of temp that the tank will maintain. The type of fish determine the ideal temp.
OK your tank is about 56 liters so you would want a 50 to 100 watt heater. A 50 watt heater will adjust the temp slower which will be less stressful on the fish but if the room temp drops too low it might not be able to keep up. The 100watt heater will be slightly more stressful on the fish because of the more rapid temp change but can handle a larger temp drop in the room.
As far as the ideal temp that would depend on the fish. The overall range is about 75F (24C) to 86F(30C) But depending on the fish will determine where in that range is ideal. Some fish like 78F to 80F and a temp drop to 76F will cause them to spawn. While other will spawn if the temp increases to 84F. So knowing you fish is a must.
Once you determine what the ideal range that the fish like then set your heater so that it is somewhere in the middle. You need to watch and see how much the temp fluctuates and insure that it remains in that ideal range.
good luck
