I asked a question earlier about the movie Heya Fawda and what people thought of it. I was shocked by the amount of answers saying that its a dirty movie. The movie was described with strong words like 'mon7al' and 'impolite'.

I personally think that its a movie with a serious message. It's not one of those comedy movies where they discretely joke about sex the whole movie but with not a single kiss!! Why arent people bothered by such movies? I think those movies are far more explicit than heya fawda. Why wont people just ignore the so called 'bad' scenes and focus on the real message behind the movie. It's unfair to judge a whole movie by a few scenes!! Dont be one track minded. I think we should allow ourselves to be more open minded, we should allow ourselves to pick the good things and leave out the negative things without totally bashing the whole movie! Why cant people nowadays take an opinion different to their own? Why not act maturally and appreciate art and give it credit?

if the movie is "mon7al" then we are living in a "mon7al" society..those who don't like to see the truth (or even a point of view regarding the truth) better not go and buy a ticket and sit to criticize it from this small angle..
It isn't broadcasted in homes, like the "Saudi" financed semi porn channels under the cover name of music and clips and stuff like that..it's a movie, who is supposed to deliver a message, those who view life from the focus ob bedrooms are not supposed to go and watch it..don't they?

i agree.
we should judge a scene or a situation by two standards :
1- does it have a function in the work or is it there for arousing the senses ?
2- what is the final effect of this scene or situation?
to give an example, the tv serial QADIET RA' Y 3AAM of Yusra shows the rape of 3 women in 20 mins.
the scene has a function in the serial bec it shows how 3 innocent women are dragged into this dirt without any responsibility.
the effect of this scene is disgust with the criminals and empathy with the victims.
so, the scene is necessary in the serial.
the serial is moral in its final effect bec the 3 criminals are convicted and will be executed.

I haven't seen the movie myself, but I trust those people who said 'mon7al' and 'impolite' .I have seen your other question and the answers.

My opinion is Strictly against those kind movies, there are 100 ways of delivering the message you want to deliver in a clean and decent way.

Will you eat a very nice looking delicious meal if you know that it contains only 2 grams of poison?? What if I told you that you can ignore the poison and try this very nice meal, it will not hurt you that much, only 2-3 days in hospital. will you still eat that??

Hope you get my point, even if it is not agreeing with you without hard feelings.

Edit:

.Loooooool I didnt see the "poison" part of necromancer of Egypt when I wrote my answer. good same example but he got a healthier choise (honey). :)

i said the movie was '' mon7al'' i never denied that these things are actually in our society, but i dnt need a 20 mins rape scene to understand that there's rape in Egypt....

these scenes are obscene and there are many movies that are way more important than this one, without single useless scene....

look sis,ppl are different,u may not see this to be bad or haram,it's up to you..but what i know about my religion is that these things are haram....

BTY..lol...i never saw all the movie, sorry when i see scenes like this in the trailers,i feel it's haram to pay any money to see that filth...

i agree
but you know that the media
is corrupted and they may hide
the poison inside the honey
and after all i think there would be nothing
new in this movie
i mean all the opinions are already discussed
if it was about "el fasad" or authority abuse
any way i thought it would be great till i read what was written about it here [in Y!A i mean] and after all i stopped going to see Arabic movies in cinemas along time ago

"modesty is a branch of faith"
=
al 7ayaa2 sho3ba mn sho3ab al eman

and things can be presented in a clean way ..... without the hot scenes ..... that's elit adab, honestly
