I admit, for a while I was a bit befuddled as to how so many people hate Hillary Clinton for being completely contradictory things. Some people hate her because she is a communist/socialists while others hate her because she in bed with corporations. Some people hate her because she's pro-war while others hate her for being anti-military. Some people think she staged a hostage crisis while others think that's absurd. Some think she's too emotional to be president while others feel she is a cold fish, and the list goes on.
I then remember reading something about a trickster god Eshu and ones of his tricks he played on a village, and it occured to me that that is the solution. Hillary must be some sort of trickster goddess to be able to fool so many people into believing opposite things about her. Maybe her goal isn't necessarily to become president, but only to cause as much strife as possible. What does everyone else think?
Below is a description of Eshu's trick from Wikipedia:

Eshu is a trickster-god, and plays frequently tempting choices for the purpose of causing maturation. He is a difficult teacher, but a good one[3]. As an example[4], Eshu was walking down the road one day, wearing a hat that was red on one side and black on the other. Sometime after he departed, the villagers who had seen him began arguing about whether the stranger's hat was black or red. The villagers on one side of the road had only been capable of seeing the black side, and the villagers on the other side had only been capable of seeing the red half. They nearly fought over the argument, until Eshu came back and cleared the mystery, teaching the villagers about how one's perspective can alter a person's perception of reality, and that one can be easily fooled. In other versions of this tale, the two tribes were not stopped short of violence; they actually annihilated each other, and Eshu laughed at the result, saying "Bringing strife is my greatest joy".

Ginsberg: I didn't ask whether Hillary sucks or not. While Rudy does have some trickster qualities such as cross-dressing, I'm not too sure if he ever pulled of the impressive feat of getting people to hate him for opposing qualities which he couldn't simultaneously. As for Fred Thompson, he's too stupid to be a trickster god, as you've very much pointed out.

Emila: No, I am only trying to figure out why others respond so strongly to her. But maybe you hit upon why others hate her so much. Perhaps they are the ones who share a love-hate relationship. Perhaps her greatest trick is that those who profess such hatred for having opposing qualities are actually in love with her, making her trick even more impressive.
