If you're going to shave your own back, I think that'll be pretty difficult. You will most likely need someone do to it for you.

Have you thought of getting it waxed? It might be a better idea.

Hope that helps! :)

Whatever method you use, you're going to need help. The classic method is waxing - and yes, it's as painful as it sounds. If you have money to throw around, you can get electrolysis which is (more or less) permanent. If you have a very patient GF she might be willing to shave it for you the old fashioned way. Be careful with Nair - it's effective but can irritate your skin and, uh, may get into unintended areas.

Waxing is best. It does not encourage the hair to grow back stronger. Nair does work I have done it for a friend. Shaving works. Shaving and Nairing the hair will grow back thicker.

Wax it! Or I guess you could have a friend help you with Nair. Or have someone to shave it for you (e.g younger siblings, hehe). But seriously for better results have somebody do the job for you.

Good luck!

One consideration you might make
is that when cut/shaved hair grows out the ends are blunt and somewhat scratchy, rather than the natural tapered ends you now have. (women deal with this all the time with leg hair)
So, once shaved, this is something you'll have to repeat...and repeat...and repeat...to avoid the scratchiness when it grows back.

If you don't want help with it (shave/wax) the n you could go for this: http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&SKU=14399593&RN=825

I don't know how well it works coz I haven't tried it yet but I think it's worth a shot.

Go get it waxed it will last longer than shaving and you'll get used to it.
