Frankly, I don't see what the big damn deal is. It's just a phrase, its not like some perv is coming up to you and flashing you his nether regions! This is just something else that the atheists feel they just HAVE to b*tch and moan about.

im not offended if people say Merry Christmas, but what's the big deal if they dont? i mean, out of all the issues in the world, does it make a difference if someone says or does not say "Merry Christmas"- if long as they are not telling me i cant say it, then who am i to tell them they should?

I'm agnostic but I'm not offended when people tell me "Merry Christmas". I just think they're being nice and genuinely want me to have a happy holiday. Whether I choose to celebrate it or not is a personal matter, but I don't mind people assuming that I do. I'm like, whatever.

I ignore the controversies and say thank you and merry Xmas right back. It's nice when some one wishes you a happy day.

I am not offended by it because that's what it is CHRISTMAS. I don't understand why some people have to ruin it for the rest of us. For those who are religious it's offensive to them because it's like insulting some of their religious beliefs. After all Christ is the whole reason that there is a Christmas. Why can't people just be happy and enjoy Christmas?

people in this country are stupid how can they create a controversy like that???
everyone likes christmas...well except jews but they have hannukah and we christians dont get offended if someone says happy hannukah - i say happy hannukah back
we should respect other people and not forbid them from doing something that is part of their culture - i know the controversies have a point but the points have no point
the point is that the point of the point should be more like a dot

Not offended at all, I say Merry Xmas back. Even if you don't believe in Xmas, it's totally stupid to get mad because they were nice and wished you a nice holiday, how are we suppose to know you have weird hang ups about Xmas?
