First off, Congrats :)
It's normal to stress over the birthing procress. It's not as bad as it sounds. It goes so fast, so enjoy the pregnancy while you can it's truly a blessing :)
So far i've had 2 children, 1 girl then 1 boy. I went in labor fast! It was all over in about 1-2 hours tops. For me pushing the baby out didn't hurt, the contractions were the worst part, and once the baby comes out the pain goes from a +10 to a .1, it just vanishes.
Hubby couldn't make it in time. The first birth my father held my hand, it helped so much. Then the second birth my mom held my hand, she freaked me out lol. My mom is high strung and made me very nervous. So if your husband is very supportive, helpful, and calming it will make a tremendous difference.
I also had both kids without drugs or pain meds :) I was more affraid of the epidural needle then child birth pain.
Good luck!

I didn't have twins but I have 4 kids. His hand meant nothing, though he had to be there or else..lol. Lamaze breathing...also nothing. I am a big advocate for epidurals. If you have one and it works, there will be slight pressure. If these babies are your first and you do have drugs, you will not feel contractions or when or how to push. When your doctor says push, do it. And when you push it is with the same muscles you use if you are having a bowel movement. Just think, bad constipation, and soon it will be over. I have also had 2 babies with NO drugs....hence advocate for epidural. Good luck and I hope this helps.

I would be nervous about twins also. The c-sec rate is much higher for twins. I had four kids using the Bradley method. It reallly works. Over 90% of those who use the Bradley method do not need pain medication. I have had hunger pains before that were worse. Your husband needs to be there to coach you to relax and breathe properly. My husband took a picture of me during a contraction in transition. It looked like I was sleeping.

It's perfectly normal to be anxious about giving birth, especially if it's the first birth. You're blessed to have such a supportive husband. I'm a man so I've never given birth, but I'm also a nurse and have seen many births. It always helped when the father was also present.

Relax. It's not that bad. It's an experience like no other. There might be some pain, but when you meet your child, it all goes away. You'll be fine. Trust me, you have nothing to worry about. Relax, and let everyone else worry about you giving birth. There will be Doctors and Nurses, and Family. This is an experience you should be looking forward to.

Watch as many movies as you can about childbirth both natural and caesarean section. Check you hospital for lamaze classes even if you are planning to use an epidural or have a csection or whatever. The relaxation techniques they teach are awesome!
